Plane Skids 1900 FT at Kapuskasing Airport

At 7:30pm on Tuesday June 11th, a nine seater King Air plane skidded 1900 feet on its belly at the Kapuskasing Airport. After the plane came to a halt, the engine caught on fire. cdrg+RedTeam's D&G Construction was called to the site and was able to mobilize two hydraulic excavators, a float truck and four emergency personnel. They were able to get everything under control and were able to get the runway cleared and reopened within 3 hours.
