CDRG Appoints Mr. David Tippett as New COO
January 21st, Ottawa, ON – Simon Frigon, President of CDRG is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. David R. Tippett in the role of Chief Operational Officer (COO) of CDRG, effective February 1st 2010. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Tippett was National Claims & Underwriting Sales Representative for MSB Canada (Marshall & Swift/Boeckh) and also National Business Development Manager with CGI. During his career, David has held several Senior Management and Executive positions with many large Inusurers. We believe David's insurance background, experience, and ability to drive organizational success will be a real asset to CDRG.” states Mr. Frigon. “His technical knowledge and marketing tenure gives him an insightful perspective on the business.”
We are confident Mr. Tippett will continue building on CDRG's strategic plan laid down by the management committee. Working both closely with the membership and clients, Mr. Tippett will be tasked to reinforce both on-going development of CDRG on a National level and team building amongst the members. He is uniquely qualified to lead the group through a period of fundamental change and renewed growth as CDRG reshapes itself to respond to the challenges of today's market.
Together with Mr. Tippett, we endeavour to further build an environment that will foster sound business practices to achieve ongoing success in our service capabilties. We are very optimistic about this new position and also Mr. Tippett involvement as we embark in a new chapter. Following months of careful searching for potential candidates, David has successfully demonstrated his commitment and capabilities on achieving CDRG's strategic vision in both short and long term.
In his role as COO, Mr. Tippett will be responsible for the overall direction and business development of the group. In addition, his skill set will ensure our members meet and exceed our clients service level requirements. Mr. Tippett will work closely with the regional directors in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth integration into our day to day operations.
