The Bio

Jean-Francois Raymond
Marketing Director

Jean-François background in marketing and communications began 11 years ago as an operations officer for Elections Canada, where he worked closely with Returning Officers & their staff on a national level. Having worked for the Federal government for several years, JF decided to pursue his marketing and communications passion in print media with Montreal based Voir Communications. This is where JF honed his graphic design and advertising skills, it also gave him a better understanding of the printing & marketing process, working on major campaigns with the National Gallery of Canada, Currency Museum, the Canadian Tulip Festival and the National Arts Centre. 

Following a 3 year stint with print media, Jean-François was recruited by Astral Media to work in radio broadcasting. The television and radio company enabled JF to deepen his knowledge of marketing but this time with a different medium. During his time with Astral Media, Jean-François sat on the University of Quebec fund raising committee where he headed and developed their silent auction event. He also participated and developed various large scale radio campaigns and events with Desjardins, Emploi et solidarité Québec, and the Association of car dealerships of Gatineau.

As Director of Marketing, JF currently sits on the CDRG committee board, actively participates in the on-going development of the CDRG website among other projects currently underway with CDRG.

Jean-François Raymond has a bachelor's degree in communications and political science from the University of Ottawa and plans to obtain his MBA in the next few years. On a personal level JF is a devoted father and family man. 

He raises his three sons; Matheo, Dalvany and Ezekiel with his long time girlfriend Jamie in Gatineau, Québec
